About IRPM Alumni Association

The IRPM Alumni Association (IRPMAA) was formed in the year 1992. Having the distinction of its kind. The first meeting of the Alumni Association was held on 30-31 May,1992 by organizing the National Conference and bidding farewell to Prof. Gopal Chandra Rath, one of the founding teachers of the Department. During the course of conference and its subsequent Alumni meet it was decided to award cash prize to the First Class First each batch of the Department in the name of Prof. Gopal Chandra Rath.

A separate endowment was created and practice of giving cash Award in the memory of Prof. Gopal Chandra Rath continue till date. In the same meet also decided that Alumni meet coupled with National Conference in every alternative year.

Keeping the spirit of the decision taken at the first meet, the IRPM Alumni Association has as per as possible tried to organize the Alumni meet along with the National Conference.

The Alumni Association also initiated a novel practice of facilitating its Alumni who have occupied senior position as HR Executive in both Public & Private Sectors, Labour Enforcement Machineries of both Central & State Govt, Academician and achieve the distinction in the public life. With generous donations given by the Alumni, the Alumni Association has also initiated giving cash award to the different category like the First-Class-First, the First-Class-Second, OBC Girl etc.

The Alumni Association is now registered under the Societies Registration Act,1860. The Association brought its office within the premises of the Department of I.R & P.M with due approval from the university authorities. With regards to this, the Alumni Association thankful to the university authorities.

The mission of IRPM Alumni Association is to create a lifelong and worldwide community of alumni through increased opportunities for meaningful engagement in order to increase awareness, employment, pride, participation, volunteer involvement, and philanthropic commitment.

Our Vision

To promote goodwill and sense of pride to both alumni and students and faculty of IRPM Department, Berhampur University. To help and support alumnus in developing and spreading a philanthropic and entrepreneurial mind-set among students. To advice and conduct activities that shall motivate and upgrade student skill sets.
